Hormone Optimization
A thoughtful look at hormones when energy, sleep, mood, strength, or body composition have shifted.

The visit
About hormone optimization
Hormones reach further than reproductive health. They interact with sleep, metabolism, muscle, bone, mood, cognition, sexual health, and the way weight is carried. When energy drops, nights break apart, mood shifts, strength fades, or body composition changes, a hormone evaluation is a fair question. A birthday does not answer it.
Hormone optimization at Caleyo Wellness is for women and men, including the changes of midlife. Care starts with symptoms and a whole-health history, then uses laboratory testing to see what may actually be moving. Treatment, if any, is recommended only after that evaluation. Hormone therapy is not automatic, and it is not the right tool for every symptom that arrives with age.
The same number can mean different things in two people, and a symptom can look hormonal when sleep, nutrition, or a medication is doing the work. You should hear that distinction in the visit. The aim is an individualized reading, then a decision you can understand, including the decision to leave hormones alone.
Who it’s for
A fit is a clinical decision.
You may be in perimenopause or menopause, with hot flashes, broken sleep, a change in libido, genitourinary discomfort, a shift in mood, or a mind that feels less steady. Metabolism with a PCOS-related pattern belongs in the same conversation. You want those symptoms taken seriously, without being told that the whole story is simply age.
You may be a man noticing lower energy, a change in sexual health, slower recovery, more fat through the abdomen, or a flatter mood, and wondering about testosterone. That question deserves labs and context. Tiredness alone is not a prescription. The visit is for people who want the evaluation before any treatment, and who can accept that the right answer is sometimes no hormone therapy at all.
What it can support
Benefits, without a promise.
Women and men, with different maps
Midlife change in women and hormone questions in men can both be evaluated here. The history and the labs are built for the person in the room. One group’s pattern is not copied onto the other.
Symptoms kept next to the bloodwork
Sleep, mood, muscle, libido, cognition, and composition are recorded before anyone talks about a prescription. A number without that story is not a plan, and a story without labs is not yet a decision.
Metabolism in the same review
Hormones are read with blood sugar, body composition, and nutrition when those explain why you feel different. Bone health and sexual health stay in view. A single hormone is rarely the only actor.
Therapy only after it earns a role
If treatment is appropriate, it is individualized and then monitored. If it is not appropriate, you still leave with an explanation. The next step may be nutrition, sleep, or watchful follow-up.
What to expect
Consultation, treatment, and aftercare.
- 01
A history that refuses the age shortcut
Consultation covers what changed, cycle or sexual health, sleep, mood, strength, medications, and what you hope will feel different. Age is context. It is not the diagnosis, and it is not a reason to start therapy on its own.
- 02
Targeted labs, then a plain reading
The visit decides which labs are useful and how to read them beside your symptoms. You should hear what a result supports and what it does not. No dose is chosen before that reading.
- 03
Monitoring whether therapy starts or not
Follow-up tracks symptoms, relevant labs, and how you feel in training, work, and sleep. If hormone therapy is not started, the plan still has a direction. If it is started, it is watched, not left as a standing refill without a reason.
How it fits
Part of a root-cause plan.
Caleyo’s root-cause approach treats a hormone shift as one possible contributor among others. Poor sleep can mimic a hormone problem. Nutrition and insulin resistance can change body composition that people blame only on estrogen or testosterone. Stress and medications belong in the same paragraph. The model looks for the overlap, then chooses the lever that fits.
That is why hormone care stays beside longevity, nutrition, and medical weight optimization instead of in a separate silo. Skin, hair, and sexual health can enter the same picture when they are part of your concern. Nothing is started because a decade on the calendar says it should be. The through-line is the person, and the labs that make the story checkable.
No. Women and men are both seen, including midlife change. Candidacy comes from symptoms and labs, not from age alone.
Only if the evaluation supports it. The first job of the visit is to understand the picture, including when hormone therapy is the wrong tool.
No. Energy, libido, muscle, recovery, mood, and abdominal fat are reviewed with labs. Testosterone is not assumed from fatigue, and not every tired patient needs it.
Perimenopause and menopause concerns such as hot flashes, sleep, libido, genitourinary symptoms, mood, and cognition, and sometimes a PCOS-related metabolic pattern. Each is evaluated. None is presumed from age.
Yes. Hormones can share a plan with nutrition, body composition, or skin when that overlap is real. They are not added to every visit by default.
